Savannah Hilton Head International Airport is located 15 miles from the Historic District. The airport offers regular flights to more than 30 non-stop destinations.
Savannah is also easily accessible from all points along the east coast via Interstate 95, or from the west by Interstate 16. We recommend getting driving directions on Google Maps.
If you plan to come by bus, Savannah is a hub for Greyhound Bus Lines. For a Train trip, Amtrak rolls through Savannah on its Palmetto and Silver Service lines.
Savannah Belles Passenger Ferry
The City of Savannah offers a transportation system that can move downtown visitors by road, rail, and sea at no charge. Currently, only Belles Passager Ferry is in service. The boats depart from Rousakis Plaza on River St. and provide ferry service between River Street and Hutchinson Island. Bicycles and strollers are welcome on board. Click here for more info.
